France, which played an important role in stabilizing the situation in the wake of the 2008 Russo-Georgian war, supports Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty within its internationally recognized borders. Economic relations Georgia is our top market in the Caucasus. It has received French investment in the areas of transport, agrifood, industrial equipment and services. France has a trade surplus with Georgia (€280.9 million in exports vs. €64.4 million in imports in 2024), but trade remains modest; France was only Georgia’s 12th largest supplier and 18th largest customer in 2024.
