French humanitarian action in the Palestinian Territories

Since the massacre of 7 October 2023 in Israel and the sudden deterioration of the humanitarian and security situation in the Palestinian Territories, France has been working actively to meet the vital needs of the Palestinian population. Its humanitarian response aims to help those hardest hit by the bombardments, the destruction of homes and civilian infrastructure, the saturation of any healthcare services which remain operational and the lack of access to drinking water, food and other essentials (e.g. fuel). As the economic and security situation in the West Bank has also seriously deteriorated since the start of the war in Gaza, France has also stepped up its humanitarian work in the area.
