Presentation - State of affairs

Gender equality is one of the major human development challenges around the world. Equality is not merely a political and ethical issue, but it also serves to guarantee the effectiveness of development policies. Strengthening the rights of women and girls helps all of society move forward.

SDG 5. The goal to “achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls” is a cross-cutting theme for all 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Empowering women and girls, defending their sexual and reproductive health and rights, eliminating of all forms of gender-based discrimination in all areas of social, political and economic life and fighting stereotypes, are all sustainable development drivers.
