Iran – Release of Lennart Monterlos

France applauds the release of Lennart Monterlos, a Franco-German national, by the Iranian authorities and welcomes his return to his family in France.

Arrested on 16 June 2025 while in Iran, Lennart Monterlos was held in Bandar Abbas. We thank all those in France and Iran who have worked for his release.

We ask the Iranian authorities to immediately release Cécile Kohler and Jacques Paris, who have been held in Iran for more than three years.
