Visits Former Prime Minister Bainimarama visited Paris for the Fourth France-Oceania Summit and COP21 in 2015 and then for the One Planet Summit in December 2017. In February 2023, Louis Mapou, the President of the Government of New Caledonia, signed a Joint Declaration of Future Cooperation with the Fijian Prime Minister. On 25 July 2023, French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna travelled to Suva, where she met with Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.
