Fine dining – Fifth edition of Goût de France/Good France (21 March 2019)

Goût de France/Good France is celebrating the vitality and creativity of French cuisine in 150 countries today.

Thousands of restaurants on five continents and 150 French embassies and consulates will showcase French art de vivre and regional products; the culinary heritage of Provence will be in the spotlight this year.

Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, and Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister of State, will launch the event at the Village international de la Gastronomie, where they will open a Provencal banquet focusing on responsible cuisine that is accessible to all; the banquet will be open to the general public in the Jardins du Trocadéro.

French cuisine is central to France’s image: A third of foreign visitors state that they come to our country to experience its food and wine. With the assistance of chefs, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs supports the role of fine dining in the strategy to raise the profile of French destinations and enhance their appeal to tourists.
