International Criminal Court – Surrender of Ali Muhammad Ali Abd-Al-Rahman (Ali Kushayb) to the International Criminal Court (09 June 2020)

France welcomes the surrender to the International Criminal Court of Ali Muhammad Ali Abd-Al-Rahman, also known as Ali Kushayb, suspected of having committed crimes against humanity and war crimes in Darfur.

As requested by the International Criminal Court, France made air transport available for the transfer of Ali Kushayb from the Central African Republic to The Hague.

France, which is a strong supporter of multilateralism and the International Criminal Court’s role in the fight against impunity for the most serious crimes, voluntarily agreed to the ICC’s request.
