Event on the attractiveness of the Île-de-France Region for international organizations (5 March 2025)
On Tuesday, 4 March 2025, the Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and French Nationals Abroad, Laurent Saint Martin, brought together the international organizations in Île-de-France, with Alexandra Dublanche, Vice President of the Region. This event was organized with Choose Paris Region, Paris-Île de France Capitale Économique, Business France and the Agence Française de Développement (AFD). France’s economic attractiveness policy was showcased, with a focus on the attractiveness of the Île-de-France Region for international organizations.
According to a study by Paris-Île de France Capitale Économique, there are currently 70 international organizations in the Region, generating €4.8 billion for the Region and employing more 11,500 people. Regional and multilateral initiatives, such as Club OI and Dialogue de Paris, help them get set up, as they do for new players, think tanks, associations and foundations that contribute to the creation of a vibrant and innovative ecosystem. A Handbook for International Organizations in the Île-de-France Region, published by the Choose Paris Region with the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, provides support to international organizations as well.
International organizations are key stakeholders in France’s multilateralism policy working for global issues, development financing, the climate, artificial intelligence and innovation. France recalls it commitment to these international stakeholders, as well as its wish to strengthen the tools and hosting arrangements available to them.
