Chrysoula Zacharopoulou, Minister of State for Development, Francophonie and International Partnerships, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, chaired yesterday’s meeting of the National Council for Development and International Solidarity (CNDSI).

The minister reiterated her support for the work carried out by civil society organizations, which play a vital role in the implementation of French development policy. In a period marked by one crisis after another, she called for further strengthening coordination and consistency among all the different stakeholders involved in development, including those from civil society. She also commended the resolute commitment shown by parliamentarians and local authorities to France’s development policy.

The CNDSI is a vital, permanent forum for consultations between the government and development organizations on the goals, guidelines and resources involved in conducting a development policy characterized by solidarity and the fight against global inequality.
