On September 4-5, the 10th edition of the Convergences World Forum is meeting in Paris at Palais Brongniart.
It will bring together more than 5,000 representatives of the economic, political, NGO and media communities of some 50 countries to discuss innovative solutions for implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
These goals, which make up the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by the UN on September 25, 2015, must respond to the challenges of globalization and the fight against poverty. The 2030 Agenda can be achieved only if all actors work together with States to develop concrete, innovative solutions.
In order to contribute to the dynamic of dialogue, innovation, and effectiveness proposed by the Forum, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs will play an active role in the areas of diplomacy and international cooperation. To that end, it will host two workshops: the first on providing support for companies with a positive social impact, and the second on the security-development continuum as it relates to the problems of the Central African Republic.
An information stand will present documents, mini-lectures, and the Ministry’s work on implementing the SDGs.
