Q: Do you think the Le Touquet agreement should be renegotiated?

A: France extends its sincere condolences to the bereaved and expresses its solidarity with the injured. The tragedy we saw yesterday evening strikes at the heart of Europe and its values.

I also refer you to the statements made by President Macron and the Interior Minister about the tragedy.

As President Macron said during his conversation with the British Prime Minister, we have a shared responsibility, particularly as neighbouring countries. In this regard, the Le Touquet agreement remains the key bilateral framework for managing the border with the United Kingdom.
