Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will visit the United Arab Emirates from October 27 to 28. He will meet with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, as well as with his counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan, in order to take stock of bilateral relations and key regional issues, while France and the United Arab Emirates share the common goal of easing tensions.
The minister will take part in the inauguration of the preschool at the Lycée Louis Massignon in Abu Dhabi, one of six schools in the French education network in the United Arab Emirates, in the presence of Hussein bin Ibrahim al-Hammadi, Minister of Education, and the French school community.
Alongside Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, Jean-Yves Le Drian will inaugurate, at the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the new temporary exhibition, “10,000 Years of Luxury,” showcasing 350 extraordinary objects that symbolize the history of fashion, jewelry, art and design.
Lastly, the minister will visit Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi to present the Grand Prix for International Business Volunteers (VIE).
