Q : According to information provided by the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, the Ukrainian army has already used NATO arms against civilians in eastern Ukraine. What is your view on this use of arms that were provided to Kiev for defense purposes? Will you be verifying this information?

A : We have no information that substantiates this accusation.

At the Normandy format meeting that took place in Paris, the parties adopted a joint communiqué reaffirming their commitment to pursuing efforts within this framework and expressing their unconditional support for a ceasefire. It is the responsibility of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine to report on any allegations of violations.
