France utterly condemns the Russian missile strikes that targeted Lviv last night, leaving at least four dead and more than 30 injured. Rescue operations are ongoing.

This strike once again deliberately targeted a residential building in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

As Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna has repeatedly emphasized, these unacceptable acts are war crimes and cannot go unpunished. Working closely with our allies, France will continue to provide military support to Ukraine to help it strengthen its air defenses, as well as support for the Ukrainian courts to combat impunity for such crimes.
