Ukraine – Conversation between the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs and her counterpart (25 May 2022)

Mme Catherine Colonna, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, spoke on the telephone to her Ukrainian counterpart, Mr Dmytro Kuleba.

This first discussion illustrates their shared desire to build a relationship of trust.

The Minister reiterated France’s full determination, building on the conversation between the French and Ukrainian presidents on 17 May, to increase our support to Ukraine in the face of the Russian aggression, at every level, particularly in terms of supplying defence equipment.

They also spoke of the need to unblock cereal and oilseed exports from Ukraine, as the blockade imposed by Russia is contributing to the global food crisis.
