Syria – Roadmap to restore peace and stability in Sweida (September 17, 2025)

France welcomes the roadmap approved by Syria, Jordan and the United States aimed at resolving the crisis in Sweida Province. It is an encouraging first step toward long-term de-escalation. We call for continuing the dialogue, in order for the roadmap to be implemented on the ground as quickly as possible.

All diplomatic initiatives must be guided by the preservation of security, Syria’s territorial integrity and the protection of all civilian populations.
