Mme Catherine Colonna, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, spoke today to Mr Han Duck-soo, Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, to whom she handed a letter from the [French] Prime Minister.
The [Korean] Prime Minister and the Minister highlighted the excellent bilateral relationship, based on common values and a shared commitment to multilateralism and respect for the law as the foundation of the international order. The Prime Minister and the Minister talked about priority objectives for strengthening the comprehensive partnership between our two countries, including the launch of new founding partnerships in the industrial and technological spheres.
The Prime Minister and the Minister voiced their concern about North Korea continuing its ballistic and nuclear programmes, in violation of the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The Minister welcomed South Korea’s commitment in the international response to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and the excellent bilateral coordination in response to the consequences of the conflict.
