Serbia – Shooting at Vladislav Ribkinar School (3 May 2023)

We were deeply shocked to learn about the shooting at Vladislav Ribkinar School in Belgrade on the morning of 3 May, which resulted in a large number of casualties among the pupils and teachers, including one pupil of French nationality.

Our thoughts go out to the bereaved, to whom we extend our most heartfelt condolences, and to the many people wounded, to whom we wish a speedy recovery.

Our staff and embassy in Belgrade are making active efforts to provide their full support to our young compatriot’s family at this difficult time.

France expresses its wholehearted solidarity with the Serbian people and authorities amid this tragedy.
