Serbia/Kosovo – Support for European mediation effort to normalize relations (July 24, 2025)

France reaffirms its support for the European mediation effort to normalize relations between Serbia and Kosovo. That means the negotiators and their teams must be able to move safely and freely in both countries. We hope to see Serbian deputy negotiator Igor Popovic released as soon as possible.

France urges both parties to refrain from any unilateral action that could jeopardize the resumption of talks. It applauds the EU Special Representative’s efforts in this regard.
