North Korea – Missile Launches (2 November 2022)

France utterly condemns the many missile launches – several of them ballistic – which North Korea carried out today and which constitute further unacceptable provocations.

France is particularly concerned about the fact that one of these ballistic missiles crashed on the South Korean side of the maritime boundary separating North and South Korea, the so-called “Northern Limit Line.”

France once again strongly urges North Korea to comply with the relevant Security Council resolutions without delay. It emphasizes its determination to continue, in conjunction with its partners, the goal of North Korea’s complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization and to encourage dialogue between all the parties.

France assures the South Korean and Japanese authorities of its wholehearted solidarity in the face of Pyongyang’s destabilizing actions.
