France hosted a meeting of the International Support Group for Lebanon in Paris on December 8.
This meeting was opened by President Macron. It was co-chaired by Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, and Amina Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations. Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri will attend the meeting. Germany, China, the United States, Italy, the United Kingdom, Russia, the EU, the Arab League, the UNHCR, the UNDP, the World Bank and the Office of the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon took part in the meeting.
The purpose of this meeting was to allow the international community to reaffirm its support for Lebanon, its sovereignty, its stability and its security.
