Israel/Palestinian Territories – Revocation by the Israeli authorities of travel permits for two French delegations (April 29th 2025)

The Israeli authorities’ decision to revoke travel permits for two French delegations led by associations promoting decentralized cooperation (Association pour le jumelage entre les camps de réfugiés palestiniens and Cités Unis France) and composed of several elected officials who were supposed to travel to Israel and the Palestinian Territories, is regrettable, counterproductive and damaging to French-Israeli relations.

Public accusations made by the Israeli Embassy in France regarding supposed ties between these associations and terrorist organizations are unacceptable.

France calls on the Israeli authorities to reverse these decisions, which punish those who are striving for a lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
