Israel / Palestinian Territories – Demolition of the Al-Bustan Association centre in Jerusalem (15 November 2024)

France condemns the demolition by Israeli authorities of the Al-Bustan Association centre in the Silwan district of East Jerusalem on 13 November.

Supported and funded by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and 21 French local government bodies, this centre provided over 1,000 children and young people with cultural and sporting activities, as well as essential academic and psychological support.

We are seeking accountability from the Israeli authorities for this demolition, which was carried out as part of Israel’s settlement building policy which is illegal under international law and is a threat to the two-State solution and the status of Jerusalem.
