Israel/Palestine – Armed incidents in the Gaza Strip (15 October 2025)

France strongly condemns the summary executions perpetrated by Hamas in Gaza in recent days. With the entry into force of the ceasefire providing the opportunity to relieve Gazans’ suffering after two years of war, the armed incidents that have occurred in the past few days are especially worrying.

France asks all the parties on the ground to refrain from all actions likely to endanger the population, the viability of the ceasefire and access to humanitarian aid. It also recalls that, in accordance with the New York Declaration endorsed by 142 United Nations Member States and with President Trump’s peace plan, Hamas must have no future role in the governance of Gaza and must be disarmed.
