Cambodia/Thailand - Escalation in clashes (December 14, 2025)

France expresses its deepest concern over the escalation in clashes between Thailand and Cambodia. We commend the efforts by the Malaysian Chair of ASEAN for the resumption of peaceful dialogue between the two countries. France supports the call by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for an immediate ceasefire and keenly encourages both parties to end the fighting without delay and resume dialogue, in keeping with the provisions of the Kuala Lumpur Peace Declaration, to find a peaceful resolution to the dispute between the two countries.
