Bolivia – First round of the presidential and legislative elections (August 19, 2025)

France commends the smooth unfolding of the first round of Bolivia’s presidential and legislative elections. France took part in the EU election observation mission deployed at the invitation of the Bolivian authorities. It also helped fund the Organization of American States’ electoral observation mission.

The calm, respectful atmosphere on election day reflects Bolivian voters’ strong commitment to the democratic process and democratic values.
