Ukraine – Russian strikes on Kyiv (15 November 2025)

France utterly condemns the massive strikes carried out during the night of 13 to 14 November by the Russian Federation, targeting mainly the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, its energy facilities, residential districts and a hospital, killing and injuring many people, including children. The Azerbaijan Embassy was also hit.

These strikes on a significant scale, involving around 430 drones and 18 missiles launched in several salvos, are a new escalation and demonstrate, if it were still necessary, Russia’s lack of will to commit to peace.

France expresses its wholehearted solidarity with Ukraine, its people and authorities, and with the staff of the Azerbaijan Embassy. It reiterates its unfailing support for its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity. It will continue its commitment, with all its partners, to increase its support to Ukraine and step up pressure on Russia to end its war.
