Ukraine – New Russian strikes (May 26, 2025)

France condemns in the strongest possible terms the massive Russian airstrikes carried out consecutively over recent days, killing at least a dozen people and leaving several dozen injured nationwide.

These unacceptable airstrikes, which once again targeted civilian sites in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, reflect Russia’s determination to continue its war of aggression against Ukraine and its cynicism in current talks. We are working closely with our partners to determine all the appropriate consequences.

France will continue to offer its staunch, long-term support to Ukraine to achieve a solid, just and lasting peace.
