France welcomes the UN General Assembly’s adoption, by a very large majority, of a resolution co-sponsored by France, Colombia and the United States that proposes a cybersecurity action program.

This initiative aims to establish a UN platform to combat cyber threats, which are particularly high amid the growing digitization of our societies. It will provide a solid basis for continuing discussions among countries while concretely bolstering international cooperation efforts on cyber resilience.

The 158 nations that voted for the resolution reflect growing support for this initiative, which France will continue to promote to contribute to peace and security in cyberspace, in a spirit of inclusive dialogue.
