Seightseeing in Paris
Not far from the meeting place is Place de la Bastillea. The surrounding neighbourhood is very lively and a must-see for many Parisians, with its many restaurants and bars. It is also the starting point of the Coulée Verte Renée-Dumont, a green and peaceful walk in the 12th arrondissement.
The Jardin des Plantes and Parc de Bercy are nearby and very pleasant to visit, weather permitting. Paris also offers many other charming parks and green spaces, such as the Jardin du Luxembourg and the Jardin des Tuileries.
For shopping and strolling among the boutiques, the place to go is Bercy Village, a former warehouse converted into an open-air shopping centre that imitates a street, making it very pleasant to walk around.
More generally, Paris has a wide range of cultural and touristic attractions, and there are many places of interest that are not to be missed. The recent reopening of Notre-Dame Cathedral after its renovation is the perfect opportunity to visit this magnificent monument. Continuing along the Seine, the Louvre Museum and the Musée d’Orsay offer visitors some of the world’s largest collections of art and archaeological artefacts in historic buildings. The Eiffel Tower offers an impressive view of the entire city. Similarly, the Montmartre district and its Sacré-Cœur Basilica offer a magnificent panorama after a stroll through its steep and winding streets.
