Ukraine – First official trip abroad for the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs to Kyiv (12 January 2024)

Furthering the notion of a powerful Europe,as underscored by France’s President in Bratislava last Mayat the GLOBSEC Forum, the first official trip abroad for the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs will be to Ukraine on 13 January 2024.

The aim is to help bolster our jointefforts, within the framework of closer strategic ties, bringing aboutan expansionthat will reinforce our geopolitical strength and enhance European Defence which, in complementarity with NATO, will contribute to our collective security.

This is what this first official visit stands for; it symbolises our long-term support to Ukraine as Europeans.
