Panama – Our embassy’s decisive participation in the Panamanian authorities’ dismantling of a major international drug trafficking network (December 9, 2025)

Thanks to the efforts of French customs officials, judicial authorities and police officers at the Embassy of France in Panama, and working in close cooperation with the Panamanian authorities, France contributed to the Panamanian authorities’ dismantling of a major network trafficking drugs to several European countries, including France, via Tocumen International Airport in Panama.

This achievement attests to France’s determination to cooperate with Latin American and Caribbean countries in the fight against narcotics trafficking.
