Q: Was the famine in southern Madagascar discussed by the French delegation to COP26?

A: The famine in Madagascar is extremely worrying. For the first time, the World Food Programme has established a direct causal link between climate change and famine. COP26 must enable us to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement in terms of mitigation, adaptation and financial assistance for developing countries embedded in national policies. France is fully committed to these three areas.
