Q. Has France already restricted the entry of Lebanese individuals following the announcement by the authorities? A yes or no answer would suffice.
A. The Minister addressed this subject clearly on May 7 in Beirut and conveyed it to the Lebanese officials with whom he met: France is restricting access to French territory by individuals responsible for the current political deadlock and those involved in corruption. If the deadlock continues, these measures may be toughened or extended. As Josep Borrell said yesterday, the EU is working on levers to individually pressure Lebanese leaders who are preventing the country from ending the current impasse.
