Israel/Palestinian Territories: Broadcasting of videos of Israeli hostages held by Hamas (2 August 2025)

France was extremely shocked to learn of the videos of Israeli hostages held since 7 October 2023, broadcast in recent days by Islamic Jihad and Hamas.

France denounces these despicable methods and condemns the cruel treatment inflicted on the hostages.

France reiterates its wholehearted solidarity with the families of all the hostages and the Israeli people in the face of the barbaric acts perpetrated by Hamas on 7 October 2023.

In Gaza, France demands an immediate ceasefire, the immediate and unconditional release of all the hostages held by Hamas and the return of all bodies, in addition to unimpeded humanitarian access.
