Israel/Palestinian Territories – France expresses its concern over the violence on Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount (6 April 2023)

France expresses its concern over the past two nights’ violence on Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount, including inside the Qibli Mosque.

We call for respect of the historic status quo on Jerusalem’s holy sites and for the parties to refrain from any action liable to fuel the violence. We call on both Israelis and Palestinians to abide by the commitments they made in Aqaba and Sharm-el-Sheikh.
