Q : The media situation in Hungary has deteriorated further. The major opposition radio station Klubradio is about to stop broadcasting. What will you do?

A : We are closely monitoring the situation of this independent Hungarian radio station, which is experiencing serious difficulties with the renewal of its license. Suspending its broadcasts would send a very troubling signal in terms of media pluralism and independence, the freedom to inform and to be informed, to which France is deeply committed. We call on Hungary to abide by its European commitments in this regard.
