Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister of State for Tourism, French Nationals Abroad and Francophonie, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will meet virtually today with teams at our Embassy in Berlin and our Consulates in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Saarbrucken and Stuttgart. He will exchange views with elected officials representing French residents in Germany and representatives of the French community, of whom more than 100,000 are listed in the registry of French nationals residing outside of France.
These meetings will focus on the consequences of the Covid-19 epidemic for our community in the areas of health, jobs, travel and education. The minister will underscore France’s commitment to supporting our compatriots living in Germany through consular services, social assistance and education.
