Djibouti – Visit by Mme Catherine Colonna (14 December 2023)

Mme Catherine Colonna, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will pay a visit to Djibouti with M. Sébastien Lecornu, Minister for the Armed Forces, on 14 December 2023. The ministers will speak to Mr Ismail Omar Guelleh, President of Djibouti, and their Djiboutian counterparts, Mr Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Mr Hassan Omar Mohamed Bourhan, Minister of Defence.

The visit will provide an opportunity to continue negotiations focusing on the revision of the Defence Cooperation Treaty (TCMD) and reaffirm the strategic partnership between France and Djibouti, marked by enduring ties, mutual respect and in-depth cooperation in every field.
