Fight against racism and anti-Semitism – Visit by Harlem Désir to the Holocaust Memorial (Paris, November 2, 2015)

Harlem Désir, Minister of State for European Affairs, visited the Holocaust Memorial in Paris this morning.

He paid tribute to the work to promote remembrance and education carried out there, symbolizing the fight against all forms of racism and intolerance in France and Europe. Harlem Désir called for efforts to develop exchanges between the various places of remembrance in Europe.

The Holocaust Memorial in Paris was opened to the public in 2005 on the 60th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp and the European Day of Holocaust Remembrance and Prevention of Crimes against Humanity.
