French citizens living abroad have a variety of options for voting in this year’s legislative elections: they can vote in person, by proxy, by mail or via the Internet.

Internet voting was a priority reform supported by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs to facilitate the participation of our 1.444 million citizens registered on consular voter lists. It will unfold as follows:

  • First round: from Friday, May 27 at noon (Paris time) to Wednesday, June 1 at noon (Paris time)
  • Second round: from Friday, June 10 at noon (Paris time) to Wednesday, June 15 at noon (Paris time).

To respond to any questions, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has set up a help function on the Internet voting portal that can be reached by clicking the “Aide” button.

It will be active as long as the portal is open.

  • For the first round: from May 27 to May 31 from 7 A.M. to midnight; and on June 1 from 7 A.M. to 9 P.M. (Paris time)
  • For the second round: from June 10 to June 14 from 7 A.M. to midnight; and on June 15 from 7 A.M. to 9 P.M. (Paris time).

An FAQ page on Internet voting will also help voters find the answers to their questions. It is located on the France Diplomatie site under the heading “Présentation du vote par internet” (266223).
