Q – Have discussions begun with diplomats who are on strike and has the Minister considered the request for an extensive meeting on diplomacy ?

R – Many discussions have been held in recent months with trade unions and Ministry staff on the issue of Ministry-wide concerns.

In the context on the call for a strike on 2 June launched by trade union and employee groups, we intend to continue and broaden these discussions to address the concerns expressed and explore ways to achieve a modern, effective and professional diplomacy at the service of the French people.

In this connection, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs will meet on 7 June with trade unions, professional associations and representatives of this movement for an initial meeting to listen to their viewpoints.
