More than 1.3 million French nationals abroad registered on the consular electoral lists were eligible to vote in the second round of the presidential elections on May 6 and 7.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development and the entire diplomatic and consular network worked to ensure that our compatriots living abroad were able to vote.
- 866 polling stations in 450 locations were open, i.e. an increase of more than 10% compared to 2012.
Voter turnout during the second round was almost 46%, an increase of four percentage points compared with the second round of the 2012 presidential election and two percentage points higher than in the first round.
