Launch by Laurent Fabius of France Alumni, a social network for former foreign students in France (November 26, 2014)

Today at the Quai d’Orsay, Laurent Fabius launched the social network France Alumni for former foreign students who have studied in France, together with Geneviève Fioraso, minister of higher education and research. They were joined by Mohamed Salah ben Ammar, the current Tunisian health minister; Jennifer Flay, director of FIAC [international contemporary art fair]; and John Parkes, managing director of Ubisoft France.

Each year, nearly 300,000 foreign students pursue their studies in France. France Alumni, established and operated by CampusFrance, is aimed at helping them remain in touch with our country after their studies. This new site is also an opportunity for the international development of our businesses and universities, to facilitate new economic and academic partnerships with these former students.

The results of the first CampusFrance/B.V.A. survey on the economic impact of foreign students in France will also be presented at this event.
