Plane
 If you are flying into Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, you can reach the Embassy by taxi in 20 minutes, which will cost you approximately $15.
If you are flying into Dulles International Airport, you can take a SuperShuttle van to downtown Washington. Tickets can be purchased at the airport. The van will drop you off at any location you specify.

Bus If you catch the bus to the Embassy, two Metro Bus lines, D2 & D6, are available. D6 will take you right to the main gate and D2, half a mile away.

Train Union Station: if you get to Washington D.C by train, you will likely arrive at Union Station. From there, it will take you 15 minutes to reach the Embassy by taxi. |

Parking
If you have an appointment and a special authorization delivered by the Chancery, introduce yourself at the main gate at 4101 Reservoir Rd, then proceed to the sublevel-1 parking lot (only).
If you don’t have a special authorization, metered parking is possible along Reservoir Road. Free after 6:30PM.

Unfortunately, the Embassy of France does not have the capacity to provide access for French citizens to public tours of the White House or the Capitol.
However, we invite French citizens wishing to visit the White House, the Capitol, the Pentagon, the Supreme Court of the United States, or the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to contact the office of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, who represents the District of Columbia.
