French nationals abroad – 4th ceremony to award the “Trophies for French Nationals Abroad” presided over by Matthias Fekl (Paris, March 15, 2016)

Matthias Fekl, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, the Promotion of Tourism and French Nationals Abroad, will preside over the ceremony to award the “Trophies for French Nationals Abroad” this evening at the Quai d’Orsay.

This ceremony, organized by, is aimed at honoring the remarkable careers of seven compatriots living abroad who have distinguished themselves in the areas of education, the environment and entrepreneurship as well as in the social and humanitarian sector.

This year, almost 270 French citizens submitted applications to a jury composed of personalities from the world of international mobility and expatriation experts. We congratulate the 2016 winners.

  • Best newcomer: Ryan Curatolo – United States - Jockey
  • Environment: Christelle Colin - Guinea – Veterinarian – Executive Director of the Chimpanzee Conservation Center
  • Art of living: Remi Verrier – United Arab Emirates – Chef at Le Classique restaurant
  • Education: Charlotte Pollet – Taiwan - Assistant Professor, National Chiao Tung University
  • Entrepreneur: Alexandre Lebeuan – India – Head of Shanti Travel
  • Social and humanitarian sector: Laure Delaporte - India – Cofounder and Coordinator of the Life Project 4 Youth (LP4Y) projects
