The UN General Assembly condemned the illegal annexation of the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk and Luhansk as well as parts of the regions of Kherson and Zaporizhzhya in the Russian Federation. The UN has spoken.

The General Assembly vote once again demonstrates Russia’s isolation in its war against Ukraine. A total of 143 countries joined together in condemning the illegal annexation and the so-called referendums that preceded it, thereby reaffirming their commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and to the UN Charter, which has been flagrantly violated by said annexation and referendums.

Faced with Russia’s move to escalate its war of aggression, France continues to stand with Ukraine so that it might regain full sovereignty.
