UN – France condemns the attack on MINUSMA (1 Jun. 2022)

France condemns in the strongest possible terms the attack on the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) near Kidal on June 1, which took the life of a Jordanian peacekeeper and wounded three others of the same nationality.

France offers its condolences to the deceased soldier’s loved ones and to the Jordanian authorities. We wish the wounded peacekeepers a speedy recovery.

France applauds MINUSMA’s dedication. We reiterate our support for the authorities of the Sahel countries, which play a key role in stabilizing Mali and protecting civilians, the leading victims of terrorisms.
