France congratulates María Fernanda Espinosa Garcès, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ecuador, on her election as president of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly, due to open on September 18.

We look forward to working closely with María Fernanda Espinosa Garcès on all issues addressed by the General Assembly, notably the Global Compact for the environment, the defense of human rights and migration.
