Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister of State for Tourism, French Nationals Abroad and Francophonie, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, visited Berlin on June 22 as part of a series of visits to several European countries to promote France as a destination for the summer season.

Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne met with his counterpart, Thomas Bareiß, Parliamentary State Secretary and Federal Government Commissioner for Tourism. This meeting provided an opportunity for an exchange of views on the support measures implemented by the two countries, the relaunching of tourism in both our countries and between our countries as the summer season approaches, as well as the measures undertaken in France, Germany and at the European level to promote the development of sustainable and responsible tourism. Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne underscored the importance he attached to French-German cooperation on tourism in the run-up to the French presidency of the European Union during the first half of 2022.

During this visit, Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne also chaired a roundtable with German tourism professionals and the German trade press in order to promote France as a destination for the summer season.
